NOTES – EDITORIAL POLICY & IMAGE USE
What is Notes?: Notes is an editorial section of Shibui Collection. It publishes short, independent observations on interiors, objects and spaces. It does not function as advertising or as a sales channel.
Does inclusion imply endorsement?: No. Inclusion in Notes does not imply endorsement or recommendation. Subjects are included because they are relevant to a specific line of observation.
Will products be sold or promoted?: No. Notes includes no pricing, purchase prompts, or affiliate links. Any future commercial activity on Shibui Collection will be separate from Notes.
Where does content appear?: Notes are published on the Shibui Collection website and may be referenced in a newsletter linking back to the original piece.
How are images sourced and credited?: Images used in Notes are typically drawn from publicly available sources such as press releases, publications, or official websites. Wherever possible: original sources are credited, photographers are acknowledged where known, links to the original source are included
Are permissions requested in advance?: Where images are clearly provided for press or editorial use, they may be used with attribution. If a rights holder prefers not to have their material included, or would like it removed or credited differently, requests will be handled promptly.
Will text be shared for approval?: Notes are independent editorial pieces and are not submitted for approval. Where appropriate, a preview may be shared to confirm factual accuracy (names, attributions, etc.).
What if something needs correcting or removing?: Any factual error or rights issue will be reviewed and corrected or removed as appropriate.

OBJECTS – EDITORIAL & PERMISSIONS POLICY
What is Objects?: Objects is part of Shibui Collection and focuses on specific works by makers, designers and studios. It sits between editorial reference and ongoing working relationships.
Does inclusion imply endorsement or representation?: No. Inclusion does not imply endorsement, representation, or commercial partnership. Objects are selected because they are relevant to the way the practice works.
Will products be sold or promoted?: Objects is not a retail platform and does not include pricing, purchase prompts or affiliate links.
In some cases, objects may later form part of a separate collaboration or offering, but this is always handled independently and with explicit agreement.
Where does content appear?: Objects are published on the Shibui Collection website and may be referenced in related editorial or newsletters.
What permission is required?: Images are only used with permission. This may include: maker-supplied press imagery, images approved for editorial use, specific images agreed in advance
Can makers supply images and credits?: Yes – and this is preferred. All supplied imagery, credits and required wording will be respected.
Will text be shared for approval?: Editorial control remains with Shibui Collection. Where helpful, drafts or previews may be shared so makers can: confirm attribution, understand context, flag any concerns
How long will content remain live?: Objects are intended as part of a long-term archive. If time-limited usage is required, this can be agreed in advance.
What if something needs changing or removing?: Requests relating to attribution, usage or removal will be reviewed promptly and handled in good faith.
